What is Viagra Extra Dosage?
Viagra Extra Dosage is a prescription medication used to treat erectile dysfunction (ED). Viagra Extra Dosage belongs to a class of drugs called phosphodiesterase type 5 inhibitors. A class of drugs is a group of medications that work in a similar way. These drugs are often used to treat similar conditions.
Viagra Extra Dosage is available in three strengths: 50 mg, 100 mg, and 200 mg. The starting dose is usually 50 mg. Depending on your response to the medication, your doctor may increase or decrease your dose. Viagra Extra Dosage can be taken with or without food.
Important Information
You should not use Viagra Extra Dosage if you are allergic to sildenafil, or:
- if you take other medicines to treat pulmonary arterial hypertension, such as riociguat (Adempas).
To make sure Viagra Extra Dosage is safe for you, tell your doctor if you have ever had:
- heart disease or heart rhythm problems;
- a heart attack, stroke, or congestive heart failure;
- high or low blood pressure;
- pulmonary hypertension (unless you are taking Viagra Extra Dosage to treat pulmonary hypertension);
- a blood cell disorder such as sickle cell anemia, multiple myeloma, or leukemia;
- a bleeding disorder such as hemophilia;
- a stomach ulcer;
- retinitis pigmentosa (an inherited condition of the eye);
- a physical deformity of the penis (such as Peyronie's disease); or
- if you have been told you should not have sexual intercourse for health reasons.
Viagra Extra Dosage is not expected to harm an unborn baby. Tell your doctor if you are pregnant or plan to become pregnant.
It is not known whether sildenafil passes into breast milk or if it could harm a nursing baby. Tell your doctor if you are breast-feeding a baby.
Viagra Extra Dosage is not approved for use by anyone younger than 18 years old.
How should I take Viagra Extra Dosage?
Follow all directions on your prescription label and read all medication guides or instruction sheets. Your doctor may occasionally change your dose.
Viagra Extra Dosage can be taken with or without food. Do not take this medicine with fruit juice. Viagra Extra Dosage is usually taken only when needed, 30 minutes to 1 hour before sexual activity. You may take it up to 4 hours before sexual activity. Do not take Viagra Extra Dosage more than once per day.
Overdose can cause nausea, vomiting, dizziness, and fainting.
Avoid the use of grapefruit products. Grapefruit may interact with sildenafil and lead to unwanted side effects.
Avoid medication errors by using only the form and strength your doctor prescribes.
If you have certain health conditions or are taking certain medications, your doctor may tell you to take Viagra Extra Dosage less often.
Shake the oral suspension (liquid) before you measure a dose. To make sure you get the correct dose, measure the liquid with the dosing syringe provided, or with a special dose-measuring spoon or medicine cup. If you do not have a dose-measuring device, ask your pharmacist for one.
If you use Viagra Extra Dosage for erectile dysfunction, you should know that it does not cure erectile dysfunction or increase sexual desire. Viagra Extra Dosage does not prevent pregnancy or the spread of sexually transmitted diseases such as human immunodeficiency virus (HIV).Call your doctor at once if you have:
- ringing in your ears, or sudden hearing loss;
- irregular heartbeat;
- swelling in your hands, ankles, or feet;
- shortness of breath;
- a light-headed feeling, like you might pass out;
- vision changes or sudden vision loss;
- feeling light-headed, fainting;
- penis erection that is painful or lasts 4 hours or longer (this is a rare side effect);
- seizures (convulsions); or
- common Viagra Extra Dosage side effects may include:
flushing (warmth, redness, or tingly feeling);
headache, dizziness;
abnormal vision (blurred vision, changes in color vision)
runny or stuffy nose, nosebleeds;
sleep problems (insomnia);
muscle pain, back pain; or
upset stomach.

What other drugs will affect Viagra Extra Dosage?
Taking Viagra Extra Dosage with certain other medicines can cause a sudden and serious decrease in blood pressure.
Do not take Viagra Extra Dosage if you are also using a nitrate drug for chest pain or heart problems. This includes nitroglycerin, isosorbide dinitrate, and isosorbide mononitrate. Nitrates are also found in some recreational drugs such as amyl nitrate or nitrite ("poppers").
Taking Viagra Extra Dosage with a nitrate medicine can cause a sudden and serious decrease in blood pressure.
Some medicines can cause unwanted or dangerous effects when used with Viagra Extra Dosage. Your doctor may change your treatment plan if you also use:
- certain drugs to treat high blood pressure or a prostate disorder;
